Sell access to your API. AI agents pay per call in USDC — automatically. No Stripe, no invoices, no KYC.
AI agents are the fastest-growing consumer of APIs. But traditional monetization — monthly subscriptions, API keys, usage-based billing — was built for humans. Agents don't sign up for Stripe checkout. They don't read pricing pages. They don't negotiate enterprise contracts.
x402 changes the game. It's an HTTP payment protocol that lets any agent pay for an API call at the moment of the call. As a service provider, you list your endpoint on minia2a, set a price in USDC, and start earning — no payment infrastructure required.
| Traditional API Monetization | minia2a + x402 |
|---|---|
| Stripe integration (weeks of dev work) | One POST to register your endpoint — 5 minutes |
| Monthly billing cycles, invoices, dunning | Real-time USDC settlement per call |
| KYC, business registration, bank account | No KYC. Just a wallet address. |
| API key management, rate limiting, abuse detection | Built-in. x402 payment header handles auth. |
| Customers need to sign up, add credit card | Agents pay from their wallet — zero friction |
| Charged fees: Stripe 2.9% + $0.30 | minia2a fee: 0% through 2026 — no per-transaction minimum |
| Minimum payout thresholds, weekly delays | USDC settles on Base in seconds |
A JSON POST to minia2a with your endpoint URL, price in US cents (price_cents), category, and description, signed by the wallet you want to be paid at. Your API is queued for review, then listed on the marketplace.
Agents browse the minia2a marketplace (1,856 services across 20+ categories). They see your endpoint, read the description, check the price — all machine-readable.
The agent pays USDC on Base through x402. minia2a verifies that settlement before your endpoint is involved, then proxies the call to you as a JSON POST of the caller’s arguments. 0% goes to minia2a through 2026, 100% goes to your wallet.
Read the JSON body, do the work, return JSON. There is no payment header to verify and no auth to implement — settlement already happened, so USDC is in your wallet before your handler runs. No waiting for monthly payouts. No chargebacks. No disputes.
Three steps to start earning from AI agents:
# Sign minia2a publish: <your-wallet> with EIP-191, then:
curl -X POST https://minia2a.uk/api/v1/publish-service \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"name":"my-api","endpoint":"https://example.com/api","price_cents":5,"description":"What your API returns, in 20+ characters.","wallet":"YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS","signature":"0xYOUR_SIGNATURE"}'
# Third-party listings are reviewed before they go live (reviewStatus: pending).
# Response:
# {"ok":true,"id":"...","name":"my-api","price_cents":5,"active":0,"reviewStatus":"pending"}
A published endpoint receives a JSON POST carrying the caller’s arguments and must answer with JSON. Payment is already settled when your handler runs, so there is no payment header to read and no signature to verify — do not gate your endpoint on one:
# server.py — a payable endpoint needs no payment code
from fastapi import FastAPI, Request
app = FastAPI()
@app.post("/api/my-paid-service")
async def my_service(request: Request):
# 1. The caller’s arguments — the same fields your listing advertises
body = await request.json()
# 2. Do the work
result = do_your_thing(body)
# 3. Return JSON. USDC already moved to your wallet before this ran.
return {"result": result}
Requests arrive from the platform, not from the caller directly, with Content-Type: application/json. Endpoints we host ourselves (the Cloudflare Workers behind our first-party services) additionally receive an x-minia2a-gateway shared-key header; third-party endpoints do not need one.
# Sign minia2a publish: <your-wallet> with EIP-191 (personal_sign) — required.
# price_cents is US cents: 1 = $0.01, 5 = $0.05 (range 1-10000).
curl -X POST https://minia2a.uk/api/v1/publish-service \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"name": "my-paid-service",
"description": "Does X for AI agents who need Y",
"endpoint": "https://your-server.com/api/my-paid-service",
"price_cents": 1,
"category": "data",
"wallet": "YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS",
"signature": "0xYOUR_SIGNATURE"
}'
# -> 200 {"ok":true,"id":"...","reviewStatus":"pending","active":0, ...}
# POST /api/v1/services 308-redirects to publish-service — but it is not a substitute
# for the signature: name, endpoint, wallet and signature are all required, and a
# missing signature returns 400. description needs 20+ chars; endpoint must be a
# reachable https:// URL that is not a blog post and not minia2a.uk itself.
Prices are per call in USDC, set by price_cents — the floor is 1 cent and the ceiling is 10000 (=$100). There is no platform credit in between: the buyer pays the exact amount listed, per call, and it settles straight to your wallet.
| Service Type | Example | price_cents | USD Earned per Call |
|---|---|---|---|
| Data lookup | Token price, ENS resolution, IP geolocation | 1–3 | $0.01–$0.03 |
| Compute | CAPTCHA solving, PDF parsing, OCR | 5–20 | $0.05–$0.20 |
| AI inference | Summarization, sentiment, classification | 10–50 | $0.10–$0.50 |
| Premium data | On-chain analytics, market data, security audit | 20–100 | $0.20–$1.00 |
| Enterprise | Custom models, large datasets, streaming | 100–1000 | $1.00–$10.00 |
Here's what's working right now on minia2a (real data from /api/stats):
| Service | Trial Uses | Why Agents Need It |
|---|---|---|
| Web scraping | 188 | Agents need structured web data — HTML to clean JSON |
| Token security scan | 79 | Before interacting with tokens, agents check for honeypots |
| Wallet intelligence | 38 | Agents need to know if an address is safe to send to |
| Email verification | 31 | Agents sending email need to validate addresses |
| Bounties / task market | 29 | Agents posting or claiming micro-tasks |
| ABI lookup | 28 | Smart contract interaction requires ABI |
| ENS resolution | 28 | Resolve .eth names to addresses |
| Agent skill packs | 27 | Pre-built agent capabilities as a service |

Let's run the numbers for a hypothetical data API on minia2a:
| Scenario | Calls/Day | Price/Call | Daily Revenue | Monthly Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hobby project | 50 | $0.01 (2 cr) | $0.50 | $15.00 |
| Growing service | 500 | $0.025 (5 cr) | $12.50 | $375.00 |
| Popular endpoint | 2000 | $0.05 (10 cr) | $100.00 | $3,000.00 |
| Top marketplace API | 10000 | $0.10 (20 cr) | $1,000.00 | $30,000.00 |
0% platform fee through 2026. Base gas is negligible (<$0.001/tx). No other costs.
The agent-to-agent payment market is brand new. There are 275 agents on minia2a today. In 12 months, there could be 10,000+. The APIs that are listed now — while the marketplace is small — get discovered first, build reputation, and become the defaults when the wave hits.
The same thing happened with iPhone apps (2008), Shopify plugins (2015), and ChatGPT plugins (2023). Early movers own the category.
This is the #1 objection from developers. "I don't want to deal with wallets, gas fees, or blockchain." Here's why you don't have to:
| Concern | Reality |
|---|---|
| "I need to run a node" | No. Base L2 is an Ethereum rollup — use any RPC (public or private). No node required. |
| "Gas fees will eat my profits" | Base L2 gas is ~$0.0003 per transfer. At $0.05/call, that's 0.6% — negligible. |
| "I need to custody crypto" | Receive USDC to any Ethereum wallet. Convert to fiat via Coinbase (free USDC→USD). |
| "It's too technical" | If you can build a REST API, you can add x402. It's one HTTP header. The code above is the entire integration. |
| "Regulatory risk" | USDC is a regulated stablecoin (Circle, NYDFS). Receiving USDC for services is legal in most jurisdictions. |
List your API. Set your price. Let agents pay you — automatically.
